If you pool holds water and you simply fill it in,you'll be creating a swamp in your yard. You may have to get in there with a jackhammer to bust it up. Check with your town clerk,if it shows up on the tax map,you might have to get a permit to remove it from the tax rolls. Both your taxes and liability insurance should go down with it gone though.
