I know what you mean about the car window ad. I just put a pile of parts in the local paper, and only my email addy for them to contact. That way, no annoying phone calls.
When rebuilding the house after the fire, I had the bright idea that a jacuzi in the bathroom would be great. The wife absolutely loves it, the heat takes the pain out when her kidneys are hurting. I mostly use it in the winter after a cold ride home from work, on the chief. Every now and again I get the urge to hop in it, but the wife definitely gets some use out of it.
I think having it in the house is the way to go. It is less drain on the power bill in the winter, no privacy issues, no bugs, etc..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
