" just sit right back and you`ll hear a tale , a tale of a fateful ship " .. except that nobody i`ve found knows the tale of this ship ..it just appeared on the side of the road one morning a few days ago . a friend of mine who lives nearby says he heard nor saw anything out of the ordinary .. there are no skid marks on the road or the grass indicating it fell off someones trailer while being hauled .. one would think if that were the case the owner would be back .. then my mind wanders to the " philadelphia experiment " except upon closer inspection there are no bodies inbedded in the hull of the vessel so a time travel accident has been ruled out ..Gilligan and Ginger are nowhere to be found .. then hair on the back of my neck stood up as in my mind i heard that whistling music and expected Fox and Scully to show up any second .. much relieved i was as then it hit me .. " You are traveling thru a dimension .. a dimension of time and space .. up ahead a sign post .. you have just entered " the HOSS zone " ....

I watched the factory Hot Rods run last fall, (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger) though I'm not a real fan of automatic transmissions I will say it was a good show and very competitive! As for Pro Stock, gets old wondering which Camaro is going to win this week! Personally, if I had the money I'd go back to Super Stock racing any day!

Have Dave glad to see you here too. I missed our midnight consults on the F1 truck! Hope your grand children are thriving. Steve

Thanks Steve, the girls are great, they're in 2nd and 3rd grad now and taking piano, dance, cheerleading, and tumbling classes! When I was their age all I got to do was go out to the barn and help milk cows!!!!!!

Hi Dave, welcome back. Your comment above brings back fond memories. Before Kindergarten and even after I would help (watch) grandpa milk the one cow we had and help with the feed. Then "my" chore was to gather up the eggs. When I was in high school I worked on several grade B dairy farms during the summer. I made $100 a month plus board and room with every other Sunday off. It was hard work but was a good experience for later in life.

I haven't been to the Winternats for a LOOOOOONG time but when I flipped the TV on yesterday for the finals, the stands were
maybe half full or so.....when I was there last 40 years ago, the stands were packed.

Noticed that in Kansas last year, too. But, it was packed in the pits so maybe the attendance isn't really down that much? My personal opinion, if NHRA doesn't do something about Pro Stock, they're going to lose that entire crowd too! Tired of seeing which Camaro is going to win this week! Up at Brainerd last year with a class racer buddy of mine and the same thing, stands half full, pits (and the camping/partying area) were packed!!!!

Put something that looks like a parking violation (ticket) on the windshield.

Looks like a crack in the hull up by the bow, which would work with the fell off a trailer theory!

recently i got my 4.3 chevy powered pinto back from the fellow i sold it to .. aside from him breaking the rear end for some reason it will not start unless i run a hot wire from the battery to the coil .. it had always worked fine for me with my running the stock ford solenoid in conjunction with the chevy solenoid and just feeding my coil off the ignition terminal on the ford solenoid .. for some reason that no longer works ..i have`nt fooled with anything of this nature in so long i`m at a loss as to what to do .. how much voltage should my stock ford solenoid be putting out at the ignition terminal ?.. and does the chevy starter have an ignition terminal that i may need to hook up to ..do ford solenoids get weak over time ? on the ignition output i mean ..
