Octothorpe. Good word.
I don't know what it is either JB but whatever it is it's got 8 of'em !
old codgers, Have you had your Shingles Shot If not GET ONE, I was in the hospital last week for what they thought was another heart attact, after the second day I had a rash on my back then chest , and it's painfull, and has had me in bed most of the time the last 2 weeks and more rest needed.
Man, I know from whence you are coming - - - I had them in my right eye (upper right quadrant of my head) in 1995 and it was not the most pleasant experience, as you well know. My doctor put me in the Hospital for 5 days with an IV drip of acyclovere (???) and it helped some but resting or sleeping comfortably was out of the question for several weeks. It's an itch you can't scratch and a soreness you can't rub for some reason.
I'm wondering, however, can you take the shingles shot if you've already had them? Seems like someone told me that you couldn't or it didn't do any good - - - can't remember which.
Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if that could have lead to my recent detached Retina problems??? Hmmmm
Good Luck with your recovery and I hope you don't get a relapse which they told me was possible - - - so far I haven't had any problem and I hope you don't either.

Dictionary, 'old school'Quote:
Octothorpe.
Hmm.
Just looked it up in my Oxford English Reference Dictionary.
It isn't there.
But it sure sounds impressive!
Look it up on the web, it's there, so it's gotta be true!
:whacked:
Tech, have you had the Shingles yet? I know that you have to have had CP in order to get the Shingles but what I'm wondering is CAN you take the shot after having the Shingles???? Any ideas on that one??? IMHO, it's damned sure worth the $$$$$ if it will keep you from getting it.
I have not had shingles, but apparently you can get it more than once if you haven't had the shot......

thanks for the link - - - been 18 years since I had it so I think I'll pass on the Shot with fingers crossed of course- - - at my age I'm pretty picky about what Drugs (aka chemicals) that I put in my body because of the side effects that "most" of them have
Why I HATE full moon wheel covers:
"Because, after you have some miles on your Old Body, it can be a job just to check the tire pressure. With Full Moons you have to remove them first and then replace afterwards!" Maybe there should be a maximum age restriction on owning this stuff? Or at least a physical before you can purchase it?????:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
drill bit and drill motor can fix that pretty quick Meller!
in all honesty i find myself of late even when sober doing things and questioning the resolve .. my driving is beginning to scare me as much as folks who ride with me ..my alertness has greatly diminished ..i offer you proof .. i know i put the nozzle in my tank and went inside and paid for my gas .. what i dont know is why i drove away with the nozzle still in my tank ...
Hoss, I don't think they'll ever be able to pin that one on you so just stay quite and contact your lawyer ASAP!
That HAS crossed my mind, Mike, but so has some different covers ! I should be able to sell a full set of 14" and 16" for enuff to buy some cool Vintage "something or others?" - - - maybe Dodge Lancer Spinners? yes I"m "Lost in the Fifties"
What really pisses me off is I usually forget to pump the gas too!
i know some of you guys on here start with some pretty bad looking stuff but unless this is a one of a kind shelby coupe or something this thing better be on the way to the crusher ...
I'd take the wheels
I'll take the rollback
if it is a K engine car, the 9
in rear end and front apron , L and R where the engine number is stamped are worth keeping with the title.
I'll take the Mustang and Pro Street it!
i `m sorry for not posting much of late .. there just is not much going on in my world . other than all my troubles with a few women i learned too late to steer clear of .. one who relieved me of my coin collection and also several thousand bucks in my checking account but luckily the bank caught that .. the coins are gone but oh well ...another who claimed her baby was going to be mine .. not so ...i gave her my GMC Jimmy which she promptly sold for pocket change ..a few other minor trifles .. but life goes on .. on another note most every morning regardless of weather i see a young fellow driving a 68 SS396 chevelle to work ..i admire the kid for that .. and today in 24 degree weather i see this fellow cruising along in this neat old thing .kind of inspires me to get in the shop and put my 351 back together and get the stang rolling again....................... nah !!! it`s cold out there ... it can wait till next April .....
Just get yourself one of these insulated coveralls and soon you'll be nice and warm. Been thinking about getting a pair myself so I'm more productive this winter! :)

Had the wonderful opportunity to hang out with the first born Grandaughter the other day and before she had to leave I asked her "Harlee, have you ever driven a '62 Fairlane?" She replied "No" - - - - Well, she has now and she loved it !

Million dollar smile! You made her day!
HEY !!! I haven't driven one either. Bet she would have taken it home if she asked. Grandpas are soft.
Yes, I get into trouble with my Wiffy for being partial to her but she was my first grandchild and I pretty much raised her until her Mom turned "slut puppy" and broke up their family. I almost didn't survive that one but all is good now and I"ll spoil her if I want to.
Wow,,what a smile.. Awesome mella.. You made her day/week..:cool:
Made our week too! Great smile, good on you mate!
She has "always" managed to smile, even with having a mother like she has ! (the LAST pic I promise)

As long as their pics like that last one... post away! 8-)
OK, since you asked - - - - I"ll break my promise ! hahahahaha

Awesome! And that bottom one is priceless! Now I gotta go dry my eyes.
Someone should start a Grandchildren thread - - - - I'll bet there are lots of Gramps that would like to show off their pride and joys. There's no doubt that becoming a Dad and a Pawpaw were the best things that ever happened in my lifetime. I'm in no hurry to be a great grandpaw but, if it happens, I know I will be absolutely pathetic and ridiculous - - - - even more than I am already LOL
