The timing should work out perfect for me.. I can bring mine over ..... say in February??? She needs some of your magic!:eek::eek::LOL::LOL::LOL:
All kidding aside, you really do an awesome job... you have a great eye for the details.

Excellent. Some nice work. Looking forward to the next stage.
I been wondering----what are your rear coil over shocks??and are you going to run them straight vertical or tipped?????
GeorgiaDad: I'm using a cheap Vapor paint gun from Northern Tool with a 1.8 tip, and it works great! Here's a link:
Vaper HVLP Spray Gun Set with Plastic Cup — 1.8mm, Model# 19018 | Paint Spray Guns| Northern Tool + Equipment
Look at page 20 for my shop setup. I just staple cheap plastic sheeting to the ceiling to cover my tools. Wish I had
more room, but I get by. Love the SPI epoxy! Go to their web site, and click on the activity stream for some great
tips on the message board.
Mike: I think I'm booked up in February! LOL

Jerry:
I'm using Pete and Jakes Coil Overs with 250 # coils. There is no brand name on them, most likely Aldens
I would guess. I'm running them tipped at 25 deg. , have optional 20 deg mount with a different height
setting. They have adjustable valving, I set them in the middle at #6 to start with.

Here's the poor mans version of a Rotisserie! The idea was sparked by some
odd creations I have seen on the net. Here's my version.

This is the simple jig I made up to roll the body around on, and will use while the
body work is done. It bolts to 4 body mounts helping to keep the body from twisting.
I drilled, and bolted a couple 2x4's to it with 3/8" bolts. Just kind of winging it, and
figuring it out as I go.

I picked up a couple 4'x4' pieces of 3/4" plywood from Manards, shaped them, and
bolted them to the 2x4's. I added some stiffners between them to keep them ridgid.
Rich
Here's a view of the rear mount. I ran out of square tube or I would have welded
extensions to the body jig, and mounted the wood to the back of the body
instead of the middle. It was the weekend, and the steel supplier was closed, and
I was on a roll so I forged on.

It worked like a charm! My two sons helped. One lifted, the other caught it, and set
it down. Was much easier than I anticipated, could have used 1/2" plywood, was
over built like I do everything. The balance point worked out great.

Another view from the front.

Now I can sit on my little stool, and work on it!
Rich
Very nice! I might steal your idea if I don't actually build a rotisserie for the 40.
Clever, simple, and cheap.
I like it!
You're one helluva smart cookie mate.
Thank's guys, it's working out great!
Made a little progress, finished all welding, and grinding on the flooring. Primed, and
seam sealed everything.

Applied a couple coats of Epoxy which looked so good I'm going to leave it like this.

It was so comfortable working on the quarters, and cowl with body rolled on it's
side I flipped it to do the other side as well. Here's a few pics of the areas
I had welded patch panels in, also the reveal line I moved.

I went back, and reblocked the whole body again.

Decided to finish every panel before shooting any color. The body, doors, and
trunk lid are all ready to shoot. Covered the body, and stored finished pieces
in house.

The frame aprons in the pic were finished today, and am working on the grill shell.
Just ran across this pic of my old Nova, my friend that bought it just sold it to
a guy in Kentucky. Lot of good miles on this car.

Rich
As always, Thanks for the pics Rich..
Your level of craftsmanship is over the moon, WOW.
Thanks for sharing the build with us.
Your body work looks awesome! That Nova is a sweet ride!
Ditto the work looks excellent!. You inspire to work harder!
Thank's guys!!
Just got my seat back, very happy with it!

Rich
Very nice!
What did that seat start "life" as? Was it a mini van seat?
As was my assumption.
Rodger is correct, The popular Dodge Caravan middle seat. The
seat cover is glued to the sculpted foam so care is
needed to remove it. The upholstery shop glued new foam on
, and reshaped it for the new style. It's a good quality vinyl, very
happy with the results!
Rich
It looks great too.
What did the wife think about you "modeling" the seat on the coffee table in the living room?!?!?:LOL::LOL:
No wife, no worries! lol that's the family room at
the back of the house. The doorway is 10 steps to
the shop. You should see the spare bedroom! lol
Rich
I once had a 350 turbo in the corner of the kitchen, but I'm guessing the guest room is worse.
Rich, nice work on the blocking, seat is awesome!
I was thinking the same thing! :HMMM::eek::3dSMILE:
Have been trying to get all the interior, and trunk panels painted so it has been
endless sanding!!!!

Here's some of the finished pieces. There is one gray piece there that is body color.

Rich
Here is the finished trannie cover.

I had the dash painted body color, but changed my mind, and went with black to match
window frames.

Rich
Looking great
Shiny parts! Nice!
Are you going to cover those nice shiny bits with underfelt and carpet ? Looks to darn good too really and I like that dash too.
That looks so nice!
I was happy with the astro van seat I got until I seen your caravan seat, looks like another trip to the salvage yard. The caravan seat top and bottom are the same width where as the astro van seat back is more narrow than the bottom. Beautiful work on all of the build.
Thank's guys!! Had to do a few shiny parts to keep me enthused! Door panels, kick panels,
and insets by seats will be black, rest of panels body color. Floor will be body color, or
dark gray carpet, or removable rubber mat.
Rich
I had the fenders ready for blocking, but wanted to have them coated to
prevent rock dents. Tires can kick up rock's causing "starring" in the
finished paint. Tried some home applied products, and wasn't happy.
Bit the bullet, and had them done by a local bed liner outfit. It's sprayed
in hot Like LINEX. This place does most of the new trucks in the area for
the dealers.

I taped off the areas to be done. They imbed wires to cut around the tape.
I scuffed with 80 grit to ready them for spraying.

Rich
Here's the finished product.

The thickness is visible in the shot of the rear fender.

Rich
I rigged up some supports to mount the fenders on the saw horses.
They will stay on these thru blocking, painting, and cut-buff.

These are the last parts to prep for paint, I already prepped the trunk lid, doors,
grill shell, and hood. One thing at a time!
