Thanks guys!! I'm going to leave the fenders off till the engine work gets done. Easier to

That is looking Great! Makes me want to start on mine again.
That looks fantastic Rich. You sure know how to make a very old car look brand new!
I can't wait for the engine pics!
Very cool car, nice work. Your painted interior and diamond floor is different, looks nice.
Finally finished up the wiring. I used a American Autowire #15 kit, great quality.
I wanted the dash to be removable, and installed disconnects to make that
possible. They supply you with one, but with all my gaauges I needed two.

The wiring looks awesome as does the dash! I've been considering that same kit for the 40.
I thought I provided enough room for all the switches, but the wires took up more
room than I had counted on. Oh well. I made up a little panel to mount to the
support frame work around the hanging pedals. This helped with making the dash
removable as the panel is independant.

The toggle switch is my dimmer switch, I have very little floor space.

Rich
Finally able to install my seat!

I also changed my tail lites to LED, the stockers even with the xtra bright bulbs were
just to dim.
Rich
Oh yeah, that looks amazing! You're getting so close. When do the engine shots start coming?
Looking very nice there Rich.
I was thinking of doing the very same thing with my dimmer switch. Not much room around the pedals with my big feet!
That's some pretty impressive wiring under the dash. That's what I was going after with Rita but the end result was quite different.
Looks great. How close to being on the road????
Yeah, I know that's a loaded/jink question. :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
.
That's great work on the electrical! That's one of those areas that takes some talent to plan and execute, for sure.
Wow you should have a post it to this thread for wiring 101 clean and neat!
Thanks a lot guy's ! I finished the horn assembly today, centered steering wheel, and
made sure turn signals canceled correctly.
The reupolstered seat with more padding cut down on my head room. I'll be
lowering the seat to make up for it. Oh well! LOL
Time to start on the engine rebuild.
Rich
You've got REAL serious metal working skills man!
I finally got through your build so far, you have done an awesome job.
Thank's vht! My COPD has slowed me down, but I keep picking away at it. Here's some of
the goodies I have for the engine rebuild:

I have had the heads redone with stainless valves, new guides, springs, etc.

Rich
I had my valve covers powder coated, and painted the grooves in the valley
cover I made.

I sent the manifolds out, and had those coated inside, and out. The rocker assemblies
I sent to Rocker Arms Unlimited where they hard chromed the shafts, and installed
bronze inserts in the rockers honed to size.

The block has been bored .040, and the crank cut 010-010.
Rich
What's the displacement on the HEMI Rich?
.
Mike, it's a 354"
That should be a bunch of fun once you get it together.
.
So very nice! Those were some expensive photos. But it'll be awesome very soon!
Ryan: Those are expensive photo's ! I don't want to think of how much I've spent
on this Hemi. LOL
The $106 I spent on the valve covers was a great deal I believe. They put a clear
coat on after the color coat. The exhaust manifolds I had done at Jet-Hot for $270 with
shipping, and have a life time warranty.
Machine shop costs sure have went up, and hard to find a good shop. They are all backed up
with work, took 3 months to get everything done.
I have farmed out the assembly work to a local race shop since health problems have held me back.
They are also backed up with work. It will get done when it gets done! LOL
Rich
Things have progressed! Here's some pics showing what Iv'e been doing.
Here's the induction with 2 500 edelbrock's , and the cooling lines I added to
work with the stock water pump.

This is the engine at Joe Gouger Racing.

Here's the engine back home, and ready to install.

It's finaly in! There was a lot of problems getting it here though. Had a lot of problems
with Hyd clutch, and other small things.

Rich
It's a tight fit !

The fenders will wait till Iv'e shaken it down.

Sounds real nice and looks mean and sharp!
Watching the videos puts a smile on my face!
Great work right there!!! Thanks for sharing.
Oh that Hemi looks so nice but sounds even better! Your coupe looks absolutely stunning too! Great work on it!!!
Very very nice!!!
Looks and sounds great.
.
Well now...…….that had to be one nifty day with the first ride. There's one vid missing. Where's the full on smoky burnout, black stripes down your street, and cranky neighbors running out of their houses, cursing and shaking their fists?;)
Now that's a hot rod. Slight rake, mild chop, Hemi with 2x4's and a straight axle. It doesn't get any better than that.
That sounds really good, and the hemi looks very cool in there, nice work.
Thank' for the kudo's guys ! It's been 10 years to reach this point.
No burn outs yet Bob, soon though! Several neighbors were in the
garage for the start up. Took my son for the first ride, and my grandson
After that.
Have to fix a couple problems, tach, and water temp not working.
I have a Moon Eyes temp thermometer in the therm housing which
is showing 165 so not worried. Plates, and insurance next!
Uncle Bob, I suspect he's fibbing a little on the burnout. Did you notice the "California" stop at that stop sign and the quick shot to the garage at the return?;)
Jack.
Nice! Fine looking piece of engineering.
Well I finally got the fenders on, and everything sorted out. Real happy with the ride
, and handling. Only thing left is hook up headlight wiring, quick connects no problem.
Here's a couple pics.
