    Your reason for using the bbc pump sucks---but if you want a good pickup for it get a Milodon #18000

    If you do things to improve oiling , you will see a pressure drop--thats a sign that there is more flow

    Ok My reason sucks and idle oil pressure depends on bearing clearance.

    Both statements hold water but this is what I am going with because it works with a very low dollar investment. This engine is fresh by the way, not a scrap yard re run hope and prayer. If I had 400 extra bucks laying around a roller cam would be my first choice.

    Reminds me of what I was told years ago about running aluminum rods in a street engine. They won't last. Ran that one 4 years and sold it still running strong. That one had 100 pounds of oil pressure at 9500 rpm's.
