    the 155hv is $50.keeping solid lifters from wiping . has not one thing to do with oil voulme .as for alum rods ? i knew of a guy that ran 3 beam alum rods in a bbc tow truck .i do machine work for a guy that buys alum used rods off e bay. it all works till it jump ups bites you in the ass .as for a bbc oil pump and what pick up that would have to do with what oil pan and how deep the new sbc 155 oil pump has a 3/4 pickup tube so that could work or the bbc or any of the after market pick ups but you have to start with how deep the pan is
