Just kiding, My old tach sure did look good, it had the wire removed in the back of the chip to read a six cyl rpm rather than 8 cyl so my 7000 rpm would show 8750 on the tach.
even if i give them to you, you arent going to belive it, youve already demonsrated that
Um.... down here in Trade me there is a 302 forged steel crank at 41.00 NZ$ big journal standard.
You are the one who said you are going to post the specs.Quote:

Hi gang. Just wanted to introduce myself I am Burt's grandson, Li'l Burt. He left a provision in his will that if he died and my daddy died that I had to watch this thread for specifications. His poor heart just couldn't hold out any longer. I am 4 years old so maybe my heart will last long enough.....
WOW!!! This post keeps getting better and better.:whacked:Quote:

Lets see at last count ....1 NZ$ = 70.4 US cents
At the latest 70.4 UScents = 1NZ$
Go to www.trademe.co.nz and punch in 302 crank in the search box.
how much to ship it?!
Do you really want to go for this ? It is up to 255 NZ now , most of the guys will start to drop out now as anything over 250 starts to get expensive. It is a pro action crank not an original chevy 302, so no use to me.
......and still waiting for specifications...................................................................................... .................................................................................................... ...................snooooore, jeeeeep, jeeeeep, jeeeeeeep, jeeeeeep, jeeeeeeep,snoooooore................drooool, huh what?... nope, still no specifications.............

Just let this thing die, will ya???? What's the big deal about an outdated mouse engine that has been terribly overrated since it was new?????

Death by Bunga, Bunga...not a nice way to go. Let's see...wasn't that some kind of "tribal anal gang rape given to some native who wandered to far into the other tribes territory" WOW...thanks for the image....
Come on guys.......just let it go will you :(
Hmmm, not such a bad way to go really.........kissy, kissy fellas....
Since I started this thread let me see if I can reign this back in. Do you stroke up a 283 or destroke a 327. Let's here some experienced opinions now.....Thanks for all the laughs..........Burty
You bore a 283 .125 or destroke a 327 to 3.00 stroke. A 4.00 inch bore and a 3.00 inch stroke = 301
Did we ever get those specifications? Thanks, Li'l Burty.
That's right...something about a homebuilt 12,000rpm sbc! Whatever happened to that deal?
Just let it die, ok???
wow this guy is incourageable????? just let it meander back into the archives ,,,,,,,, like i said in earlier post i gave up on telling some of the goons on here what the specs are because they wouldnt let it sink in anyway. IMHO BILL KILL IT PLEASE
"...wouldn't sink in anyway" "goons?" Your a trip. So you would have us believe that you are on some Smokey Yunick/ David Vizard /John Kaase kind of level of engine building expertise and some of us poor "goons" haven't the intellectual capacity to judge for ourselves. Personally I would like to have the opportunity to either give very well deserved credit to someone who would obviously have built one hell of an engine ...or call you out on a serious jump the shark comment that you have defended to the death (by BUNGA BUNGA perhaps)
George
"G", start a new thread asking your questions about the 302. Not everybody sees your direction of the line of questioning. I didn't understand your last question. What do you wish to do? I suggest a new thread to start your ball rolling and forget about the "goon" parts and the antagonisms put out by some members. Let's get your questions answered.
Hey,who are you calling goons???:whacked:Quote:

I was just wondering; could anyone give me the specifications of a 307 Chevy?
Nitrowarrior,
I know full well that this thread became functionally useless by about the 2nd page (of the 14 or so). Burty is the one that started this 302 thread in the first place. It went from a few good answers about the actual topic and rather quickly sunk into a why build a small smallblock as opposed to a big smallblock (or a big block) type of argument. Though that is a perfectly good argument in itself (I'm a stroker small block fan myself) the thread went in a direction that quickly had nothing to do with the original subject.
So "Burty" simply resorted to his natural instinct of not letting a "jump the shark" moment go without calling the person out. I see the gassersrule kid is a "regular" around here and he clearly has a passion for his small cube chevys. I appreciate that, not enough of the new generation out there are interested in cars unless they have plastic bumpers. I also remember when I was his age and I thought I knew everything too, it was only last year that I finally reached that point:rolleyes:
Were simply enjoying the fact that your young friend got caught ...well lets say ...stretching the facts and refusing to admit to it! We've all been caught spreading some bull$h!t here and there, simply his turn to squirm till he admits it. Or he could simply prove his statement that he so vehimently defends (which he HAS previously agreed to do) and I for one would be happy to concede. Plus, I really want to see the specs on a home built sbc that still makes useable power at 12,000 rpm at the strip and survives. Who wouldn't.
So where are those specs again?
George
I thought it was appropriate to just let the thread slip off into the archivers. :HMMM:
