i hear that erik. the lube has a very hi zddp pack for brake in. it doesn't matter if it's hyd or mech as long as its a flat tappet cam.. i would also add a can of stp red or eos. the eos is rebottled in a ac delco number. with the flat tappet cam i would use valvoline all fleet plus or prem blue both 15w-40 or gtx high miles 20w50 these oils have the best zddp packs and have tested very well. there standerd oils...good luck

I add the E.O.S. plus I have been adding the Comp. cam lube also.
