lt1s10, you could make the whole affair narrower by fabricating your own suspension and axles. It's just that when I came up with this idea, I was looking for a way to do it on the cheap. You should be able to buy a whole running Eldorado of the '71 to '76 vintage for very little, particularly if it has been in an accident that involved the rear or side.

thanks for the input guys, didnt know about the porch setup. that looks good. i had been looking at archies fiero setup but i dont belive that would be stronge enough. the cad. is probably the way to go, but i have to worry about va. st. inspection first. it might be a way around them thought. if you cant shave the door handles off it probably would be near imposible to sneak a motor in the bed of the truck.
