where do you have it in your motor?

You could move the dash closer

I know some manufactures make the sencors tubes longer .

Tried both of those. Even had someone else try to hook it up while I leaned as far forward toward the dash as I could. Still wouldn't reach.

There maybe a diferent port you can put it in farther back on other side. Is it in the head or block??

It is a 392 Hemi and it is the water cross over pipe that connects to front of each head. The 291 Hemi that I first had in the car, it went into back of head and the original gauge was used and worked fine.
