As much as I have heard the stuff get flac.. get Dupli Color paint shop paint, you can get it in red, black, blue or silver. it's laquer so if you mess up, it will be easy to fix it, but it is pre thinned so it will take the guessing out of the paint mixing.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

you will probably need the Dupli Color paintshop primer, as laquer is diffrent than enamel paints

Enamel will go over Lacquer , but Lacquer WILL NOT go over any type of enamel or urethane , as lifting will occur . ( It will look like cottage cheese
)
Lacquer puts out more VOC's then the new style paints FYI & is just as dangerous !
Lacquer also takes more material as it requires more thinner for application- 150% reduction ( at least it used to be in the old days ) .
therefore piss thin coats , making for multiple coats/ material for coverage .
It is easier to spray and use , but take a ton of elbow grease to make shinny .
I hated lacquer even when I sprayed it 25-30 years ago ! Base Coat / Clear coat is the way to go !!
