ok spray down the red of your choice,, then get som dbc 500.. mix in your desired amount of pearl then reduce it 1:1.. the dbc 500 is a clear base works great for effects.. then clear coat it.. if you want you could add the pearl to your first coat of clear but I always put it in the 500.. this way you can put as many coats as you'd like to get your desired effect if you put it in the clear you might end up having more build than desired.. but either will work if you put in in clear coat i'd suggest doing a spray out card to figure amount of pearl desired so that way you can do it in one coat.. hope i helped and didn't confuse
