I don't think a tricoat is best for him, which is why I suggested the HOK basecoat/clearcoat, which I also said was easier to repair.

Custom or factory...what's the difference? I don't know if there are many two step red pearls from the factories, but if there are, both they, and HOK are readily available, and virtually the same to apply. Any cost difference is probably small.
