I woulden't chop it, reason is you need to know what your doing, it does have to be welded square and all, the cab also need to be braced b4 hand. best bet is find an '80's s10 in a junkyard, buy just the cab, take the windows out and brace it up then chop it weld it back up and see if it looks right, keep getting cabs from s10's and practacing until you got it right. You also have to chop the window frames or they will be too big for the opening which is compilicated keeping it square. You could make a new bed with new bed parts, just search chevy truck resto parts. The truck would look good chopped but it's a 1 time chance, you screw it up and the cab's no good unless major work is done.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
