When I first read the part about a black grille my brain assumed you meant it in the usual way a '36 is done. Then the exchange between you and Randy made me pull up. I'll put up a pic just so others can follow what's meant in the commentary. Personally I'd recommend you paint the portion of the grille assembly outside the stainless trim the same color as the rest of the car. Doing the portion inside the trim in black should look great. Doing the whole assembly in black will give you too large a mass of the contrasting color (part of why the chrome ones don't look so good), plus the squared corners at the back edge will be very disruptive to the eye as there aren't any other square lines on the body.Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 02-03-2011 at 03:34 PM.
