Good lookin' frame, SG!!! No time limit on putting a Hot Rod together!!! For some of us the fun is in the build process anyway!!!!
Not much new here.... Spent yesterday welding on the driver's side floor of the 'maro getting the frame ties and some reinforcement pieces put in place. Another one of them deals where you work all day and it doesn't look like you've accomplished anything!!! Hope to get the rest of the floor and some other details finished up today, then lower the car down to ride height and start on the suspension....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I went ahead and traded my 92 Vette. I needed a good car for work and didn't feel like putting an engine in the vette so I ran it on Craigslist to look for a good even trade. It's a 2002, 3.8 5 speed. Should make a decent daily driver.

My project 1963 Galaxie
Looking for some help? I am rebuilding a 1963 Ford Galaxie that has a 352. I have been looking for a 390 when I was given a 429 for free. Question will it fit in the Galaxie and if not what can I do to make it fit?

Got the frame ties welded into the floors on the 'maro, then decided it was time to set it down to ride height and start building the suspension.Last edited by Dave Severson; 09-01-2009 at 08:00 PM.

Not really, more like a whole lot of time holding back the gag reflex!!!!! Hopefully somebody will come along and want it soon, hopefully before it's even finished!!!!!! Just need to make some $$$$$ to throw at some other projects.... Actually, the car has been very interesting to work on---the unibody structure has some good points and some bad points... The frame ties have helped a lot, think an 8 point cage and the right bracing and crossmembers should make it a good, solid car... Full frame cars are a lot easier, but the unibodies do present some interesting challenges. I guess, just between you and me, I do kinda like the car!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Looks like you're about ready to get back to work Pro!!!!! Nice sized equipment and very nicely set up to be accessible! The bike wheel is a great idea!!! The turning should be a lot more steady then with the handle. One small mod I put on my bead roller is a "T" handle on the bolt that tightens the rollers, beats the heck out of fumbling around with a wrench!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I made a "T" handle for mine too. Only problem.......
. the bolt I used was the wrong size.
I do believe*the bolt needs to be metric.

Got the garage cleaned out enough to set the 'maro down to ride height...not too bad, top of the roof is 49" from the floor. Getting some of the suspension mounts installed for the rear end, and some more bracing for the unibodyYesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
