Dave i would need a fist full for that truck .
Not to much breaking here still working line where fender and rocker come together . I had to weld up some beads and reshape the rocker line . Then where they stamped the bottom of fender patch was a bad line so i ground it straight now i will bead it also then finish grind .
I put in a little every day after work also helping a neighbor on his 65 cpe getting it ground down in the surface rusted areas .
Dave, I'm sure glad I don't have to deal with the winters up there anymore, here some of the houses have their water meter above the ground, a few have the water main running across the ground not buried. I am going to screw my snow shovel the wall, it is retired for good!!! :D If it snow up here, I'll wait it out, I am in no hurry anymore! ;) We owe nobody nothing, for anything!!! I've got light at the end of the tunnel; my Aspire is back together, just have to get a windshield installed an it's on the road. The Sundance I bought my daughter will be done today and out of my shop. Only one more car between me and the Plymouth. We're putting a heater core, stereo, new carpet, headliner and re-doing the seats in my sons 94 Firebird. Hopefully no more than a months work, just have to work around football and volleyball games now that school is back in. It's killing me to have a little money and a bunch of new parts for the 48 but can't touch it yet. Getting closer, though.
Hard to beat a hemi with stacks, except maybe with a huffer on it!
I saw Dave's pickup in person and guys the pictures don't give it justice. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW. Sure glad he's doing the body work on my coupe; if it was me doing it you'd get sea sick from the ripples and waves.
I got back from my motorcycle trip tuesday night, put on 5624 miles in 19 days. Never rained only hot buggy weather, picture shows the proof, bugs all over.
Tomorrow I'll be back working on the 27 stocker, timer needs a little work then I'm taking it for a little ride and then pulling the rearend out of it.

Tom you logged in a lot of miles in 19 days. Must of been fun! Glad to hear only the bugs got you! Dave post some more pics!

Heck Tom, thats one days riding here in Missouri, we have Lots of bugs here! Looks like you guys had a ball.
Them bugs were nasty but I always tried to keep my windshield clean to see the beautiful views like we don't see in flat southern Minnesota.Quote:

Well been a few weeks since i did anything at all . My nephew and his wife are here from W.V. this week end so had him help me get the right door off . Im going to reskin it since the body line and door need so much work .

Well, heres my last year in a nutshell.......
Eagle was losing the war against rust. Ask an AMC guy from a Salt State, they'll explain. It was either drive it till destroyed, or find an AMC guy with lots O time. Sold it to a guy in Pennsylvania with 5 of em and his are restored. So she has a good home.
Sold the Kawasaki because I never get to ride it. Working 6 out of 7 days a week will do that to you. Luckily motorcycles are going for good money now:D. Made a decent profit.
Bought a 1996 Aurora. Nice car, been 3X undercoated throughout its life. Lets hope this holds off the rust.
Still working @ the winery, into year 3. Also doing the maintenance of the vehicles including a 1950 Jeep CJ3A, A 1936 plymouth 2dr Sedan, a 1968 Jeepster with a 225 Buick V6 and a 1930 model A body on the chassis, and im currently finishing the resurrection of a 1925 model T 3dr open car. Gone from Dead with blown piston and screwed babbit to driveable:). I hate the pay, but i love the job:D
Happy holiday, gentlemen! This has been a busy few months; I had three cars to finish, none of which were the one I wanted to be working on. I Had my daughters $500 Sundance to get road ready, my $500 Ford Aspire to get road ready, and my sons Firebird to get ready for him, as he starts driving in four months. I'm happy to say the first two are done, and all the Firebird mechanical work is done. The interior is gutted and I'm waiting for the new carpet, headliner, etc to arrive so I can put it back together. I'm pulling it out of the garage today and cleaning up to get ready to get back on my Plymouth. In celebration, I bought a ZO6 cam and springs for the 5.3. I'll put a few pics of the Bird in when it's done.
