Patch panel parts came in today so I cut and trimmed bad part of fender out . The inner fender brace will need some trimming and mod to be close to original . Not really a good stamping at all . Same as lower outer fender patch I had to heat and work lip where it folds over was really a mess.

I drove the 27 T twelve miles yesterday, finally getting the hang of it. Found out the timer should not be wobbling so I didn't drive it today.
Tomorrow morning I'm heading out to Ishpeming MI to work on my motorcycle and pick blue berries. Will be home next week for one day before heading out to Dave's, then on to Sturgis, then "out west", so lucky you guys..... I wont be on here for a while.:3dSMILE:

Been just plain hot around here lately, feels good on these old crippled up bones!!!!! Yesterday I wanted to just curl up on the back porch and purr like a big old tom cat in the sun!!!!!!:LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

Well came home today and finished trimming and fitting so i said might as well keep at it couple hours it was ready for a skim coat . Not welding inner solid till I hang fender back on in case i need to make a slight adjustment to it .

Well finished up welding and hammered the flange over , This metal is thicker then stock took some work to get it skinny like original . The radius at bottom came out good and worked the door and fender to get it in line better . I have enough of patch left to fix my rocker spot and its allready shaped .

Dave the rocker did but years ago I found a perfect fender and am useing it . This car came with rocker moldings and we all know that they hold dirt and crude causing rust . This metal is sure thin compared to the 31 wish I had a better welder to control heat a little more like a variable type one . But with patience it came out fine . I did have to fix up a couple blow holes .
Patience Bobby, it is the journey of the financialy challenged Hot Rodder we travel and we do adapt to get things done! It is looking really good and straight, very good work slow or not!

Looks great Bobby! I know what you mean about thin metal and blowing holes. On the MIG it is just hundreds of very quick trigger flicking and lots of grinding for me!:D
looks good i butt weld alot of stuff when done it works out with less filler
