Mike, you must be reading my mind.My plan is to cut them above the tag they welded on there and then add the v band there. That should be about perfect then.
Thanks. I can't wait until it's all painted up and looking nice.
I have a plan to use 4 lawn mower deck belt gaurds and I'm going to build a bat wing type air cleaner similar to the Cadillac ones. I was searching dual quad air cleaners and I wasn't seeing anything that I really liked. (In my price range) I kind of thought about making some like the imperials had, but that really isn't the look I want. I've kind of threw out the idea of the T/A scoop for now. If I found another hood, then maybe I'd do that. But for now, I can't bring myself to cut the hood just yet.
The carb to distributor clearance is tight. I have to put a 1" spacer under the carbs to get the back carb up away from the distributor cap. They just haven't arrived yet.
I've spent some time looking at it for sure! Haha Trying to get it centered in there, and placed so it looks right in there. It's my background on my computer too.Last edited by 40FordDeluxe; 05-19-2017 at 03:55 PM.
