They give support around the dented area but don't cause the extra stretching that can occur when hammering on a steel dolly. It's a slow and tedious process but I figure the smoother I can get it the less filler I'll have to use.



Thats cool Randy, I`ve used wooden blocks shaped to fit sometimes but never thought of pvc, thanks for the tip. and yours is turning out great....
