Maybe it's me but I've never really had a problem changing plugs? You can't see what your doing and do contort you hands and arms in ways they were not meant to. But never had to as far as drilling holes to get art them. Both with headers or stock manifolds.
That's just because Bob and I were big clumsy oafs. But it did save a lot of time. He took it to the Mercury dealer to have new plugs put in and they wanted to charge an exorbinate price because they had to loosen the mounts and jack up the motor one side at a time. (This was in San Diego) We read in some magazine about doing the hole thing and decided that was the way to go. Worked for us.
