Don, sure wish you lived closer. That little female looks like a really great cat. I wouldn't mind replacing my lost one. I let Tigger out on tax day 2005 and he never came home. I figure either one of the stray dogs or coyote got him. Tigger roamed a lot.

If I get another cat, I will probably make it just a house cat and never let it out, cause your really miss them when they disappear.

hotroddaddy: Super offer, but dogs are too much work......gotta walk them, etc. Cats, you just put food and a litter box out, and you're set.

Duane: Sorry to hear about your cat. The other two have been housecats all their lives, except one time Scooter (the fat one) escaped. We posted signs, walked the neighborhood, etc. I thought she was gone forever. Day later I hear a thump on the door, and she was back, but I don't think she came by herself. It was pouring rain, and she was bone dry. I thinik someone took her in, then discovered how much she ate, and brought her back. (I claim her at the end of the year as a dependant. )

They are ruthless! I wasn't aware that they could take your animals, they would have gotten three rascal dogs this year instead of money!!!!

Oh oh. The talks are now starting to lean toward "maybe another cat wouldn't be so bad !" Dan is thinking that someone else adopting Lucky would be a crap shoot as far as how good of a home she would get. It's still not 100 percent, but it's at least in discussions.

Easy for him to say, I'm the one who has become a full time baby sitter. I forgot how much attention these little things want.

Sounds like you raised that boy right Scrooge..............................

BTW, you've seen pics of my little guy who started out with hair about that length. As he nears a year old he's stayed what I'd call a medium length hair cat. We have a daily ritual, he jumps up on my lap in the early evening and gives me that "hey.......it's time for my brushing" look. Apparently he likes it............

Oh yeah Bob, they love to be brushed. Everytime I do mine they fight over who gets it the most. I usually have to take them outside to do it, because I get enough hair to build another cat or two.

The pictures you posted of yours are really cute.

Don, I know what you mean about one more want hurt. While I was married I couldn't get rid of any because the wife made pets out of all them (3 dogs, 6 cats, and 200 horses) Man I was never so happy to get that divorce out of the way. I kept 1 dog, 1 cat and 5 horses, she kept the other dogs and cats. We sold the rest of the horse. They steal your heart with their big sorry eyes.

If Dan comes home with a stray horse, I'M OUTTA HERE !!! No, you are right, I grew up with horses....my Dad was a horse lover, and we had them until he passed away when I was about 12. They become like big pets and each one has it's own personality.

But I can't imagine having as many as you did.

Don, My best one he went a mile 1:51.1 and won $292,000 over three years racing. Wish they all where that good. Fastest I ever went in a 1/4 was 15.10 , makes you wonder one horse power verses 500 horse power and the horse ran on hay and grain......lol

As much as I love animal's, I have a car related question. I probably should put this in a new thread, but the smartest people seem to come to your's.
I am getting ready to put the new wiring harness in my T, I was going to put it under the dash, but then I thought it would be cool to put the fuse block under the floor on the drivers side. I thought I could build a small metal box that was weatherproof, and that way if I wanted to pull the body off in the future I could maybe have one weatherpac connector to the inside wiring as the only thing to disconnect.

Are there any drawbacks? The fuse block will have to be under the floor because I will be using bomber style seat's, and there will not be enough room under the seat.

Yeah, sorry I turned this thread into "Animal Planet."

The only drawback I can see is wetness Ron. How dry can you keep it? Under the dash is a real problem on T's, because there is almost NO room. In fact, now that I have seen the seat stringer I am going to use, I am going to redo much of my wiring to put the switches and lots of the electricals under the seat. There is almost not enough room under the dash to get my hands to wire the gauges and all.

With the bomber seats, you are pretty limited as to hiding spots. I would say if you can solve the water and accessibility issues, you should be fine though.

I thought I would butt in and give another opinion. There are two options if you wanted to put your electrical under your dash, that I have thought of. Wait let me get up on my soap box. O.K.
1.Make your dash removable, duplicate the outer shape in steel and fiberglass that structure in for rigidity. Then you have access to anything you decide to put there.
    2. Make a panel under your dash that drops down for access.
I am a firm believer in making these cars come apart easily. You just never know when it will be needed. I guess I'm still programed from my drag racing days. To me it's worth the extra time spent for ease of maintenance later.
    Just my opinion,
    Ken

Ken, I like the drop down idea. Dan is going to put a hinged panel under his '29 with the fuse block mounted on it and a thumbscrew to hold it up. When he needs to change a fuse or something, he can release it and get it to an easy to see position.

My '27 was a bear to wire up. I laid on my back, upside down, with my feet over the roll bar until I had cramps in my back. The '23's are even worse, with almost no room under there.

    Good ideas.

Don, don't worry about the animal's we all need them in our live's.

You are right about the lack of room under the dash. Mine has reinforcements for the dash, and steering under it, while I think I could make it fit I think it would be better under the floor with access under the seat. I would use a box like the battery box that is cut into the floor on the passenger side only smaller. I will find a way to do either forward tilting seats or some sort of quick release seats for easy access to the fuses.
