Then there is the point of higher food prices - resultant of farmers growing ethanol corn rather than food staple corn:

Then there is the minutea presented by the ethanol producing less power therefore creating a less efficient fuel:

Speaking of efficiency, let's not forget to factor in the fuel consumption resultant of the ethanol production, as farm equipment doesn't run on hope and dreams:

Where were we? Looking for drawbacks in further diluting our fuel to deliberately reduce its power and most probably create a fuel that will be yet more destructive to our fuel systems?
