Time to stir the pot

Just wondering what other peoples thoughts are on adding another 5% more ethanol to the already crappy E10 gas we're getting.

I know performance and mileage wise my 87 Ram 50 (9:1 283 Chevy) and 57 Plymouth (10:1 354 Hemi) both like non ethanol a lot better than E10. The 83 El Camino (8.5:1 500 Caddy) gets better mileage but no noticeable performance gain with non-ethanol.

I suspect the fuel lines, needles and seats, fuel pumps etc will handle the extra ethanol OK. I sure hope so anyway, it was painful changing all that stuff out when E10 became the only available fuel here. They say the E15 is OK for cars built after 2001......of course the newest vehicle we own is the 87 Dodge


And before someone brings it up there are only 23 stations in AZ that sell non-ethanol gas and the closest on to me is 150 miles away.
