We did a project in Casa Grande years back, and I went out with the client to scout out the plant site, and the location where we would be putting in a pump station at the big irrigation ditch that runs through the region. It was August, and to say the least it was memorable! The construction manager stopped by to pick up an insert thermometer for his gas grill on his way to the site one summer day, and left it on the seat of the truck, all windows up tight, pushing 118F. We got into his truck to go to lunch and he about burned his hands on the steering wheel, then picked up the thermometer and dropped it! Moved it to see the dial and it read 185F... Harsh country!
