For some unknown reason, Casa Grande and Gila Bend get darned hot....hotter than Phoenix.....and neither have the heat from pavement like Phoenix does. We came thru Yuma and Casa Grande two years ago in the black 39 and it was 119 at the BP check point. Of course, that car has a lot of lizard skin insulation and the really good 3M tint on the windows. A/C on and cool inside. Regarding your 185 in the truck, we regularly see 160 in a closed vehicle here.....when we were building our house, I had left one of the fire sprinkler heads in the truck and it popped off.....
