I remember it was a big thing to get free oil and spark plugs--next level was enough oil for my truck, the road to free tires was even being able to buy new ones for the race, then the stage where they would let you know by the end of the day if they would charge you and eventually the level where they would do tires for truck and trailer----------I even lived in apartment owned by Shelby(but had nothing to do with sponsership-I was just a renter)


Lots of stuff available free wouldn't/didn't work so you had to be careful about you made agreements for.


Todays dragracing/ESPN thingie isn't working, the multicar teams aren't working, and the format of all these national races to a countdown??????????
