I like the concept that each driver is an independent contractor instead of belonging to some driver's organization like baseball or football. It is so much easier for a hot driver to negotiate OR a team to upgrade. I also like the new guys to have a chance....it's like other sports, some guys come up and hit a home run right away, some have to get some miles on their experience log, and some never catch on.....but fresh faces butting heads with the pros is great.... It's also neat that drivers like Jeff Gordon are now seasoned pros....wasnt that long ago that they were the fresh meat getting banged by the old guys.
