Roger, I don't know if you can still access the BLM land at Green Mtn Reservoir between SilverTHORNE and Kremmling but it used to be some great viewing and easy jeep'n back when I lived in Summit Country in the early '70s - - - there also used to be a jeep trail out of Frisco up to Mason Town (an old mining town) and then from there you could hike up to the top of Mt. Royal and look down on the interstate - - - we had an old army jeep with a Studebaker Champion engine that we played with when we were there and I wouldn't take anything for the memories - - - all you had to do was take a quart of oil with you when you left home. hahaha used to lay the windshield down and my best four legged friend ever would lay there on the hood until he saw a "Alvin" cross the road and then the race was on.
