I thought when it hit $ 2.23 here the other day that it had hit rock bottom and would start to go back up, but yesterday I saw it at $ 2.16!! I have a 15 gallon tank on my car and last Summer it was costing me $ 60 to fill it up from empty. Last week I had trouble getting $ 35 worth in there, and my low fuel light had been on for a while. I can live with these prices........hope they stay around for a bit.

Don it was taking forever to drop below three bucks out here, but then boom, rapidly down from there. Now it is about 2.39 a gallon here. I wish I had one of those 500 gallon tanks to stock pile some gas for awhile!
I just bought a oil filed electric space heater for our bedroom, to help keep the natural gas bill down this winter. I heard Natural gas prices are suppose to go up again. My goal is to eventually have enough solar cells to run electric baseboard heaters in the winter, and maybe charge an electric commuter car!

Wonder why there is so much difference in cost from area to area? Last weekend when Dan and went to Bradenton Florida for the races, gas was much higher there, like $ 2.49 a gallon, and they are only 80 miles away, and further North. If anything I would think gas would be lower there because they don't have to truck it so far South as we are. Crazy.

I keep giving all the hardcore Republicans at work a hard time, telling them "Wow, look what has happened since Obama got elected.........prices are dropping like crazy!!" They hate me at work. lol

We have the same thing here. On our side of town Chevron is 2.79 a gallon, as is 76.
closer to the freeway it is 2.41 a gallon and is the 76 there. It just doesn't make sense. This guy consistently is 30 cents a gallon more than any other place. I can fo 13 miles north and get it 35 cents cheaper and 20 miles south and the same 30 cents less. I protest by never getting gas from him. Eventually he'll get the message if everybody does the same. I'm thrilled at paying 38 bucks to fill my tank about 15 gallons this week, vrs. 65 a couple of months ago!

I paid $2.19 yesterday. Put 20 Gallons in without having to swipe the debit card twice for the first time in a long time. Guess there is at least one thing money wise to be thankful for.

When prices were rising it was those evil, greedy oil companies at fault. Going down it's "The One" who gets credit for good outcomes. So when Barry, Harry, and Nancy slap on "windfall" profits tax and carbon cap and trade regulation and prices sky rocket again while supplies dwindle it'll be the evil greedy oil companies at fault once more? I'm hearin' the Four Tops..............

I think we are headed for a quarter a gallon again!! Maybe my hair will grow back, I'll lose 20 pounds, and that cute girl in English class will finally give me a chance.

    Hey, it's possible.................................
