$3.21 at the new Safeway last night. I'd love to see it drop below three bucks at least once before the rollercoaster rise starts again!
The funny thing is we have a Chevron refinery just 40 miles away. And gas at Chevron stations gets cheaper by the gallon the farther away from the refinery. Same gas, same price for the stations, more expensive delivery charges and less expensive at the pumps! Seems crazy to me.
Since I have been buying gas at Safeway(about 2 months now) my gas milage has increased by 1-2 mpg. Anybody else with similar experiences using different pump gas?" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve. "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

My buddy noticed a drop in mileage when we started getting the 10 percent ethanol gas. Were down in the 2.80`s at most stores around here.

I noticed the same thing. My truck is up about a mile per gallon and I haven't changed a thing so hopefully that crap is being eliminated. There is a push here in Missouri to eliminate the ethanol subsidy and if that happens I believe ethanol will go away, at least in it's present form. BTW, gas is $2.21 in Springfield. It's sad that gas is a buck cheaper where you live. I'm tired of cost gouging out here!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve. "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I may have to make a trip your way for a fill up. It may justify a shopping trip. Originally Posted by NTFDAY Originally Posted by NTFDAY BTW. How was the Street Machine Nationals this fall? I regret missing it. BTW. How was the Street Machine Nationals this fall? I regret missing it.

Last night in Chapman $2.43. But the rack price went up a dime. So the price at the pump will stay where it is or go up accordingly????

We just got some at $ 2.67 a couple of days ago. Don't know if we should fill up a 500 gallon tank now or not because if history is any indicator, this won't last long.

Don, last night it was $2.59 if I had a 500-gallon tank and could come up with the money somehow I would do it. It may come down a little more but I believe it’s just a temporary thing of falling prices.

I was disappointed with a roofing estimate. The guys are saying roofing has doubled in the past year. $12.00 per square in the last 2 weeks. I'm trying to figure if I should risk taking a chance that it may come down in the spring.

I thought when it hit $ 2.23 here the other day that it had hit rock bottom and would start to go back up, but yesterday I saw it at $ 2.16!! I have a 15 gallon tank on my car and last Summer it was costing me $ 60 to fill it up from empty. Last week I had trouble getting $ 35 worth in there, and my low fuel light had been on for a while. I can live with these prices........hope they stay around for a bit. Don it was taking forever to drop below three bucks out here, but then boom, rapidly down from there. Now it is about 2.39 a gallon here. I wish I had one of those 500 gallon tanks to stock pile some gas for awhile! Originally Posted by Itoldyouso Originally Posted by Itoldyouso

Wonder why there is so much difference in cost from area to area? Last weekend when Dan and went to Bradenton Florida for the races, gas was much higher there, like $ 2.49 a gallon, and they are only 80 miles away, and further North. If anything I would think gas would be lower there because they don't have to truck it so far South as we are. Crazy.

I keep giving all the hardcore Republicans at work a hard time, telling them "Wow, look what has happened since Obama got elected.........prices are dropping like crazy!!" They hate me at work. lol

We have the same thing here. On our side of town Chevron is 2.79 a gallon, as is 76.
closer to the freeway it is 2.41 a gallon and is the 76 there. It just doesn't make sense. This guy consistently is 30 cents a gallon more than any other place. I can fo 13 miles north and get it 35 cents cheaper and 20 miles south and the same 30 cents less. I protest by never getting gas from him. Eventually he'll get the message if everybody does the same. I'm thrilled at paying 38 bucks to fill my tank about 15 gallons this week, vrs. 65 a couple of months ago!
