Not much done on the 'maro. Been spending most of my time on the coupe trying to get it done for Tom.

Did do a bit more with the shape on the front end opening. Think it's going to be fun listening to others not into Hot Rods trying to figure out for sure what it is!!!!! Think I've finally got the front shape where I want it....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

And you say I should not port my heads ?

Never said you shouldn't port your heads, just have no idea what that might have to do with the fact that I don't like plastic bumpers!!!!!!!

Not my fault!!! If the manufacturer's didn't make plastic bumper covers I wouldn't be forced to do things like this!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Nope, not even close to converted, just enjoying the build I guess.... Only reason it's here now since Jackie decided she didn't want it is that it's sale should help with the purchase of some very fine parts for the Ranchero!!! Heck, if I do good selling it, might build another one!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Someone will buy the car either way you decide to sell it, it may take a little time but there is a buyer for just about thing on four wheels.
I bought a 50 Ford custom someone else’s project that didn’t want to finish it, it’s now been ten years and it still looks the same other then the fender skirts. I’m in the same boat with too many projects. I did a restoration on a 79 Vette I stretched it out for four years. I bought a 68 Camaro convertible and told my self it would not be like the Vette. I was correct on that it has been 18 years and all I did was pull the front end off, I have original GM fenders, quarters, door skins, grill, wheel moldings, plus odds and ends. I have started a 67 Nova repairing the floors that the guy I bought it from put patch panels over rust then tied it down with rosin then put new carpet over that. Way too many things going on that I can’t focus on just one. Behind my garage it looks like rest in peace 39 Chevy 1 ½ ton farm truck. 40 Chevy coupe, 41 Chevy coupe, 39 Ford coupe, 51 Plymouth, 54 Chevy, 55 Chevy, sometimes I forget how many projects I have. Most likely none will get finished before I'm finished on this planet.

This should really help the procrastinators get going.

Well, not a lot more done on the 'maro, but the front sheet metal is a bit closer to done and I've made some decision on the suspension. The rear suspension, as planned, will be a triangulated 4 bar with coilover and chrome moly control arms with polyurethene bushed stainless stee rod ends on a narrowed 9". I've started to build a fixture base on the stock front lower control arms and will be fabbing up some new ones using chrome moly tube. The spindles and brakes will be the stock '82 'maro pieces with a coilover assembly added to the strut and proper reinforcement on the towers....

With the sheet metal work completed and the body in primer I'll have approximately $3500.00 in the body work and modifications and it will take just a shade under $1500.00 to get all the front and rear suspension back under the car....

So, the car will be a roller with the body in primer and ready for paint for about $5,000.00. I will probably put it up for sale at that amount, and give the option to the new owner to either take it home as is, or he could pick the body color and engine/transmission combination for the car and pay to have it finished....

It's actually becoming a fun project and I'm enjoying the build. It's fun for a change to do the things I want to do and not have to build everything the way the customer wants his car done.... But on the other hand, working on someone else's car is better for me, cuz I can use their money instead of my own!!!!!!! Maybe if I could ever convince myself to NOT have 3 of my own projects going on at the same time I might actually have enough extra cash around to actually finish one of my own!!!!!!!! not much done on the 'maro, been busy on Tom's coupe. I did get the air intake for the radiator resized to accomodate a 19" X 31" aluminum radiator. Should have plenty of air flow and radiator capacity to cool whatever engine should end up in the car....

Sorry for the funky color on the pic, had one of the halogen lights on and they make for lousy pictures!!!!! Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Took the day off from Tom's coupe and spent a couple hours starting to fab up some pieces for the ram air induction. Got to looking at pics on the 'net of same vintage 'maro's and dang near every one of them run a cowl induction hood so naturally I couldn't build one of them for my car!!!!!!! No pics to put up right now but I will put together a few pics when I get the whole thing put together. The inlets will be in the flat area just inside of the headlights.... Thinking maybe I'll build a grille with some stainless tube, or maybe just a mesh grille "flotaing" in the opening..... Got to do some more pingin' and dingin' on the front sheet metal and shoot a coat of primer on the front end so I can get a better look at it.....

Sure wish somebody would buy the dang thing, I'm almost starting to like it!!!!! Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave I decided to take the day off completely. My wife, and the dog and I went on a 2 hour walk, enjoyed the outdoors, etc. Now I'm sippin my second beer, got a turkey breast in the smoker, and chattin with the fellas on the CHR site. Not a bad day. Did some gardening too! All my seed starts hit the raised beds this afternoon. Still can't get my pepper seeds to germinate. I think I'll rig up a green house cold frame. I'm determined to get a pepper crop this year! Dave I decided to take the day off completely.
