    I used the Juliano's kit on my coupe and yes it does stick up a bit, mostly the edging that covers the aluminum edge.

    I used a thinner foam than was in the kit and I think that helps the look a lot. I did make the wooden frame to hold the vinyl taut while I installed the aluminum edge.
