The whole car will be Washington Blue. It's basically just jammed out so we can put the windows in and not have to take the body back off. Plus I knew I was going to do the top and didn't want to risk damaging the new paint.

We screwed the vinyl top on today. With the help of the family we filled all 137 holes with screws, washers and lock nuts. After we were all done the wife followed behind us with a razor blade and cut the scrap off. I'm happy with the way it turned out. I also installed the radiator support rods temporarily till we try on the hood.

Thanks Ryan. Yeah it was cool to have them give me a hand. Funny thing is; my daughter kept complaining she couldn't hear the radio with me drilling over her head. The conversation went sorta like, "Dad! I can't hear the radio (Drill) I'm sorry (Drill) did you say something? (drill) {I look at the wife} do you hear a whining noise? (Drill) DAD!!! (Drill) god what is that annoying sound? (Drill)...then the hand comes out the window and she flips me the bird. Ahh daddies little girl..LOL She finally got out and got her IPOD and headphones. It still didn't work the drilling was too loud even with the headphones in. When we were finished as she was leaving I asked her. "Doesn't it give you a sense of pride that you accomplished something? I know I do "She paused for a half a second and said "yaaa-no!" and just walked away. I yelled thankyou! and I got a "whatever" back. She loves me..LOL I suppose at 17 I should be lucky she even came down to give me a hand at all.

Nice job Big Jim on the top, it doesn't look like a mattress at all. I've been a little confused however on the word Un-streetrodding in your title. I at first thought you were taking a street rod back to stock. You are doing a beautiful though on the makeover.

Wow I have this big empty space in my garage now. I don't think it's been this clean since it was first built. Need something to fill the void. Hmmm????? Sorry for the big blurry pictures.

And it filled the void perfectly.

Not really it got here just today and until it showed up at my front door wasn't 100% sure it was gonna happen. Glad it did though.

Yeah it is. Kinda mixed emotions though. I don't have room for 3 hot rods. They are all jammed in there. So the wife's chevy has to go. It's pretty tough finding a good steel 33 chevy 3 window with the look this one has. Of course the other option is to get a lift in the spring and go up...LOL Not good to start stacking...cars!
