Some folks need to look up the definition of a log.
Seen any pictures of your 22 week build? I sure would want some or I would be showing up in their shop. Be careful.

Roger, no offense intended but I believe you are wrong and I will apologize if I am wrong. Looking at Dave's profile in the 'Find all posts' shows 6 of his 8 'posts' have been to this thread. Looking at your current post count of 4,566 doesn't indicate that you've posted in 4,566 different threads. Am I misunderstanding something here?
BTW, Dave welcome to CHR, looking forward to watching your build progress.
Mike
Mike, I think you're right, but then I cannot explain posts 1, 4, 7, 9 & 10 in this thread, all by Dave, but all showing his Post Count as "8". Perhaps it's the number of posts in different threads, both threads started and answers given?

Dave, I apologize to you for going off topic but my friend Roger needs help too.
Roger, I'll try to explain. Our individual posts aren't numbered in numerical order as they are posted, it's a constantly changing total of all our posts across every thread we've posted on. Look at your own posts in this thread, they are all numbered the same, 4,569, as I'm posting this. In my previous post #12, I mentioned that your post count was 4,566, now your posts #2, 12 and 13 show your number at 4,569. Hope this helps.
Mike
Dave, keep posting, your numbers will grow!!

OK, gotta ask, what is the plan if you have a flat tire? This is a common problem and you have me thinking to check mine. I know the back tires are removable on a two post BUT are they removable along the highway?

I had a set of slicks for my 59 Ford that I had to remove the brake drum for enough clearance to get the tire into the fender and then slide the drum back up inside the wheel and onto the studs------------Ahhhhhh, Fuel Dragsters and farm tractors are sooooooooooo nice when it comes to tire changing----if you have rubber tires instead of them steelie spikes------
Uhhhh.......not so much! During the summers of my highschool & college years I ran the mobile tractor tire repair truck at the local farmer's coop in my little Oklahoma hometown.......there was nothing nice about changing a rear tractor tire that had run over a stump out in the middle of a field, spewing sodium-chloride & water all over the place. Created a "nice" big mud hole of nastiness that you could sink a jack in......:eek:
Yes R2.. the good ol' days! rofl... and that Ca Cl is some nasty stuff! I know it loves to eat the metal rims. And how about those wheel weights?!?! Gotta love another 100 or 200 pound chunk of cast iron! HAH!

Perhaps you should investigate ways to raise/jack up the car during a tire change event.....something that allows the suspension to droop more.......and the oze guys have their $$, they dont really mind if it is a problem...
Hmmmm.....sounds to me like your problem is more with the tire height than the width. You said you have a 29" wheel opening and a tire that is 30.5" tall.......perhaps if you had the 295/40/20 which is still 11.61" wide but is 29.3" tall, it might be a little easier to squeeze into the hole.......btw, these figures came from this tire size calculator Tire Size Calculator

I don't own a trailer or a vehicle that can pull one. No trailer queen for me. I told the OZE guys that when I ordered the car - it was to be a driver, not a show car.
