I like your idea of shrink wrap on the thin wall aluminum fuel line! I have a roll hanging on the wall, purchased by the guy who started buying stuff for the '32, and I've been hesitant to use it fearing damage from a flying rock, or worse. Your shrink wrap sounds like a good approach. Mind sharing your source?

Nice catch Roger, I missed the shrink wrap on the aluminium! What a great idea indeed. Might have to do that to the portion of line exposed on both ends of the frame body.

Here's a couple pic's from the label on the shrink tubing. I also measured the wall thickness at .030 . I got mine at local electronic's supply store.

Still need to make the wrapper install gauge and tubing etc.
The cut/half moon shape is for the machine gun. Tank will also be pressurized aprox 2-3 psi, they didn't have fuel pumps.

That's really a great tutorial.. almost step by step on how to build a tank.

As always, thanks for thinking of us and sharing the info.

Only have a mock up for this plane but my boss has some of the real stuff from WW1 air craft. Its disappointing to me not to have the plane fully armed , after all it is a fighter.

After talking to my tranny guy here in Tx. I decided to go with the extra tranny cooler. Today I put the a/c and cooler on the rad and ran the lines. Maybe just maybe this truck will see the road next summer.

After the test flights are completed, you may like to give a run or two with 185 lb of ballast in the passenger seat...
