I'd think that following Mike and Roger's advice would be the best bet...

Great work looking good .
The truck is looking great man
Gentlemen, thanks for the kind words and feed back on my project. It's so close to the end I getting worried what am I going to do with myself went its finished. Fishing ? Golf ? Gardening ? another hotrod ?
Have a great week folks !
it is really close to "done" (or whatever that is!) Navy! Always an exciting time.
Or jump on the wild side and buy a Factory Five Daytona kit car. Been eyeing those for a retirement project. My cousin bought their Cobra kit as a father/son project with his 18 year old son! Or maybe a long road trip!
Route 66 cross country tour in truck might be fun too! :)
The last of the panels are done and at the upholstery shop for covering. I'm told I'll have my seats back Monday, wow its getting close.

these pictures were supposed to show the painted and stainless steel fender bolts comparison but the picture doesn't do so good showing that. I was looking for input on the choice which looks better but its hard to see. The polished stainless is reflecting the red so they look red vice stainless.

They both look good! The bed wood looks gorgeous!
I prefer the painted fasteners, for whatever my opinion is worth!
Got the seat in today, I'm very happy with the work that was done.

Love the design of the seat. Tying in the exterior color was a great idea. Well done!
The seat looks great, very nice upholstery work.
I vote for painted bolts, and the seat looks great!
Itchin' for the run'in….. head out on the highway…. soon my brother.. SOON! LOL... 8-)
Had to update my toy hauler, had 1800 lbs on the bumper pull hitch. I made a goose neck and put triple axels under it. Now it can haul my hotrod safely. cost ran about $2500 and all my and a friends labor. If fuel prices were lower I might get to use it LOL !

That's a serious trailer! Looks good.
It's DONE , well until I find something to update fix or change. Still don't have insurance and plates so no road test, but soon.

Looks awesome! You mean to tell us that you haven't snuck out to go just "around the block"??? LOL
I would be proud to have your truck sitting in my driveway. Nicely done!!
Looks amazing! You've done a great job on it, and it's been a treat to follow along. Thanks for keeping us in the loop with such great details!
That's just beautiful! You should be proud of your hard work.
Looks Fantastic nicely done. Almost celebration time !
A Big THANKS to all that followed and gave feedback along the journey.
Already starting to do repairs, power steering has a small leak and my A/C also had a leak. A/C line needed tightening and P/S is yet to be fixed,
on my list of things to do today. Have a great weekend everybody !
That looks great! I can't imagine anyone not wanting that truck.
Your better than I am, no way I could resist a quick spin!
Congrats, It looks awesome. I've been following the project. Ya done good.
Nolan
Looks Great!!!!
.
Great looking pick up, very well done! Really enjoyed watching the progress on it!
A/C leak is proving to be a pain. Looks like I have to discharge the system and replace orings . It was easy when there were no fenders LOL. Thanks again for all the support during this build.
A/C update, appears to be a bad crimp on a 90 degree hose fitting, on the high side. New hose, less than a 1/2 hour run time on the A/C . Never thought it would leak, held vacuum -30 for over 18 hours prior to Freon fill. I guess things happen and its better now then on the road.
A beautiful truck that looks 'just right'.
It's neat, and not in the least over the top into gaudy.
Very well done.
I too would be happy to have it parked in my driveway.
And I too have enjoyed following the build.
Thanks for showing it all to us.
Today was the Day ! I took the Truck for a ride. Went about 8 miles for a shake down run, all went well. Have to calibrate the speedo, top speed was 20 mph on the speedo at about aprox 50. Plan to keep doing short runs and checking for anything that might be going wrong, loose or need adjusting.
Nothing like that first ride! Congrats...
How big was the grin? Bet it's still there! Congrats from me too.
