The guys that stripped the car were a little concerned about doing the hood because it's pretty thin with not much backing.

Warping was a concern so I opted to strip it by hand40 year old lacquer paint done NOT like to come off.

Finally, after half a box of 80 grit, got it stripped----

".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
