I took it down the road today and other than the shift cable needing some adjusting it did pretty well. Also not sure if this radiator is going to be big enough; it was a replacement for a 6 cylinder Mustang so I may need something bigger. But it got a bath and should be ready for spring with a tweak here and there; for the most part I really like it. Here's a quick vid: https://youtu.be/3PXytae5Vlw

I heard about it on another forum. It looks like it has some good stuff and some not so good.

Looks like some cool stuff, I might try to get there.

Drat, my transmission will not upshift out of first gear. Everything points to it being the governor hanging up so I guess I'll have to pull the driveshaft, cross member, and tail housing off the trans and see what's up. I hope I don't have to pull the whole thing back out.

So I read that your transmission governor works better if you remember to put the guts back in it BEFORE your put the transmission together. DOH!

At least I still had the parts to go back in it; I threw most of the old parts away away I got it together but these were sitting in a box on the bench. Also noticed my pinion bearing is bad when I was taking the drive shaft back out. I swear every time I fix one thing on this car, two more problems pop up. I never should have said it's almost done.

I hear you, I did a little more work on the Ram 50 yesterday (AC Thermostat needed replaced). Got it all buttoned back up, tool it on a road test and when I went to turn around to go back to the shop one of the needles and seats in the carb decided to puke. A trip to town in the EL Camino and $50 for for a kit later it's running again. Ain't cars fun.
