Thanks, Bobby. Yeah, pulling the engine would have really sucked. Actually it was one of Auto Zone's online vacuum line diagrams that helped me figure it out. I usually dont buy parts there but they've got a lot of info on their site.
I should be doing a short road test tomorrow; over the last few days I wrapped up a lot of little stuff. I built a new shifter handle with some 1/2" stainless rod, wired the radio and put a check engine light in next to it, got the carpet and seat back in, plus some other goodies. Still a fairly good list of misc to finish but it should start making some short shakedown trips this week.
Really looking good
Sure do like that interior Falcon, no go enjoy some shakedown time!!!
You've done a great job all the way through on this on, taking something many people ignore and making it a viable cruiser. The interior indeed looks great, and compliments that lipstick red outside 100%. Bet she'll turn some heads around town on the shakedown runs!
Success! Two trips down the road and back without a hitch!
On your way to a great FUN summer
That's awesome to hear of the shakedown runs..
You know this must be a cool thread when you pull Bobby out of the shadows to post!:LOL::LOL::D:3dSMILE::p
Definitely looking sweet sir! I'm glad to hear you'l be putting some seat time in it! Enjoy it!
Thanks, all. Other than a few minor bugs to address, it's pretty much done. My wife and I gave it a bath today and took it out a little. It runs and drives really nice. Should be hitting the first show next weekend.
Well, congratulations on building an awesome looking sleeper and if you don't get a reward for that interior alone, people just don't get the " Old School " look, I love it and the whole car is bloody marvellous.
Awesome,falcon.. Looks great..Sounds great.. Good cruiser..Go do some cruising.. ;)
Wow, this thing has turned out awesome! Congrats and go enjoy it!
Yes sir, I like it. Beautifully done!
Reminds me of the song Little Red Corvette..WoooooHoooo .......only this would be Little Sleeper Coupe,,,,,!!:)
I hope your wife enjoys it as a daily cruiser(at least I think this was built for her?) Post some pics of the awards you get at your first show! ;)
