Looks great, should be a fun ride!!!!
.
Thanks! Yeah, it's an Explorer 8.8; 3:73 posi
Yesterday the 8.8 got a coat of paint along with the spring plates and some lower shock mounts I built. She back in and ready to go as soon as I run the brake lines. Next I want to get the rear fenders bolted down and the bumper and gravel pan on.
It sure looks nice with discs back there!
Thanks, the bummer is that the back wheels won't fit over the brakes. Oh well, time for a couple of boneyard Crown Vic steel wheels and some paint.
Today I got the fenders bolted down, bumper & gravel pan on, and had to do some re-engineering on the gas filler. It stuck out way too far before so I had to shorten part of it and make a couple of brackets to hold it steady. I think the next order of business is clean out the trunk and get some POR-15 on the floor of it; then onto getting the hydraulic clutch hooked up.
Looks like you painted the leaf springs also.. boy oh boy that was jumping out at me.. but I bit my tongue, assuming that you'd get to it!:LOL::LOL::LOL:
Good Job!
WHEW! roflmao!!!:LOL::LOL:
Looks like a business coupe dang near ready to start taking care of business!!!! Great combinations on the car, Falcon, well done!
A sleeper if anyone sees it coming, they will be in for a bigger surprise seeing your rear tailamps smoke on by!
Man, I hope she'll have some decent power. I know those SHOs were pretty respectable even though they were only 235 hp. Believe it or not, the 49 is actually 500lbs lighter than the Taurus so that should help.
Trunk is done.
Good look in the trunk, neat, clean, and orderly! I think it should have plenty of power for a cruizer, decide to make it a bullet could always go find one of the new Hemi's someday!
