Reading the "5.0 Cutlass", and the fact that its and 83, chances are that its a 307, 4 barrel with 5A heads. As for the gas issue, i tend to agree with the guys. My suggestion would be to look for non-firing cylinders, check out your Cat and check the Q-jet for flooding. My guess would be that the car has a weak/non firing cylinder, the fumes are mixing with the water due to the new cat, the plug becomes fouled due to the weak cylinder(Also helping the Egg smell) and you get a strong fuel water.

well, i think that i might have to tell u guys what i`m running. It`s a 83 cutlass supreme. But it used to have a v6. I cjanged the engine on my driveway this summer, and got an engine off a truck. The engine was a 5.0, rebuilt, it only had 3000 km on it. It was fuel injected. I got another manifold for a carb, and a new carb. I also got new camshafts, lifters, electric fuel pump, water pump. So the car is not stock anymore. For the exhaust i got two 4 inch pipes coming out on the sides, and new cats. Some say that all new cats smell like boiled eggs when they are new. The smell is supposed to go away shortly but i don`t know how long it`s gonna be. This was my very first engine change, ever since i`m 18 and live in Canada(the weather is not really friendly), but i have made it run like a dream. This thing with the spitting is my only problem.

The 4" exhaust might be contributing to the water condensation. As the exhaust warms up water will condense on the inside walls of the pipes, bigger pipes = more water. It won't hurt anything and they probably sound Kewl. If blowin' water on your neighbors car is a problem, I would just put turn downs on the 4" pipes so you blow the exhaust down instead of out.

im glade we agree on the conv. small may or may not go away, but lets go over this gas thing again. it dont make any dif. what kind of motor youve got, if it (runs like a dream) other than apitting something out of the tail pipes, when you first crank it up cold. if was gas it wouldnt not be running like a dream unless you have run a fuel line into that 4" tail pipe somewhere behind the heads and i dont think youve did that. if you dont have a head and or gasket porblem then its normal condensation coming from not warming the motor up after you start it. if it goes away and dont get hot after you run it for awhile then its nothing wrong with it. its probably a combination of weather, you exhust system, and driving habits. just think about it for a min. you cant have any raw gas coming out of the tail pipes and the motor runs okey

    the hell with rice cars
Get exhaust flamethrowers and burn them shits

if thats gas coming out of your tail pipes all you need to do is add a spark plug and you would have your flamethrowers

in Canada it`s becoming more and more expensive, so good point, but it`s kinda hard to recycle a few drops isn`t it?

Need a "gas drop recycler". Made with 2 parallel tuned johnson rods running at the same harmonic speed. Mounted side by side in a parallel line with the universe. As long as you maintain a perfect harmonic speed 3303 - 3.14 Hz., the johnson rods will virtually squeeze the gas particles out of the atmosphere and deposit them in the Columbian coffee can suspended directly below the J. rods.
BTW: This very same device can be used to tune a piano.
PS: This device should not be used around small dogs or big dogs for that matter.
PSS: Do not use this devise on yourself either.
    AAA Batteries not included.
