Todd, I am not sure that a 460/429 will fit in the Fairlane without modifying the shock towers. I do know that it will fit in a galaxie. That's what I'd look for if I was wanting to do it the easy way.
When the Torino went to a full frame in 72, they did away with the shock towers.Duane S
