Thos' 5/8" studs are a little spendy ey'. M/W were 'bout 100 bux. Cheaper than being rudely introduced to the barrier wall tho HUH. Little harder to get the wheel off N' on.Originally posted by pro60chevy
Remember the troubles I had with breaking the axle studs? Well, I replaced them with brand new ones and thought my troubles were over. I made 4 passes on the new studs, while I ordered a set of 5/8" replacements. When I removed the recently replaced 1/2" ones, I found that every one of them were bent. The new BIG studs are in, and I will be installing the axles tonight, in fact, right now. My other choice is to not launch at 4300 RPM anymore. I'm afraid that's not an option though."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
