Thanks for the info on the license plate light. When I was younger those
things were everywhere, Pep Boys, Western Auto etc... and not expensive.
    How things change. Thanks again

Shoprat I can help you find your light. Yes So cal speedshop sells it and that is precisely who I bought mine from. Only to find that CW Moss also sells it AND FOR LESS.

Call CW Moss at (800)322-1932 ask for Mark (he is totally cool). Tell him Faith, with the 32 roadster sent you. Tell him you want a "License plate lamp & Braket assembly" part # AC-289

They are priced at $35 each - not sure how much they charge for shipping, I just drove down there last time (sounds easy? Think again, it took me 6 hours to get there with bumper to bumper friday traffic - sigh).

    Hope this helps!

Yep, that's the one we used to pay like $ 2.99 for, maybe less. I have one squirrelled away, and will probably use it on the T. However, I COULD use a second one...........................................

So exactely how old is this light anyways? What circa? If it is old enough , would it then be wired for 6 volts - would it work on a 12 volt system?

As for me, I am sticking with my new light, sure don't want to redrill again LOL.

PS: Deuce, who is the "DeuceMeister" on ebay? Is it you? Whomever he is he has good taste, he just got a KILLER pair of old Guide 682-C headlights, like NEW. Man I so LOVE these headlights, I would never want anything else on my roadster.

    Not I ...
I love the Guide lights but I actually prefer the BIG HEADLIGHTS ...

Stock ones ... with the turn signals inside ... see the difference (comparison photo )

Big headlights just " do it " for me ...

Bob Drake hired a optical lighting engineer to redesign the headlight reflector the inside of a original 32 Ford headlight and they accept Halogen bulbs ... so they really put out a lot of light. They are right up there with the new cars now ... as far as lighting goes. I use the " Silver Star " from Sylvania .

The " sealed beam " type headlights ( like on Faiths car ) gained favor when they came out because they put out more light and were more directional.

Change the bulb to a 12V bulb.

6V wiring is heavier gage than is 12V so if the original 6V wire is in good shape, no problems there.

If no wire, run 14 gage.
