So exactely how old is this light anyways? What circa? If it is old enough , would it then be wired for 6 volts - would it work on a 12 volt system?
As for me, I am sticking with my new light, sure don't want to redrill again LOL.

PS: Deuce, who is the "DeuceMeister" on ebay? Is it you? Whomever he is he has good taste, he just got a KILLER pair of old Guide 682-C headlights, like NEW. Man I so LOVE these headlights, I would never want anything else on my roadster.

Big headlights just " do it " for me ...
Bob Drake hired a optical lighting engineer to redesign the headlight reflector the inside of a original 32 Ford headlight and they accept Halogen bulbs ... so they really put out a lot of light. They are right up there with the new cars now ... as far as lighting goes. I use the " Silver Star " from Sylvania .

The " sealed beam " type headlights ( like on Faiths car ) gained favor when they came out because they put out more light and were more directional.Last edited by Deuce; 10-14-2006 at 08:05 AM.

6V wiring is heavier gage than is 12V so if the original 6V wire is in good shape, no problems there.
If no wire, run 14 gage.C9
