Just for the record, drilling from the outside was not an option because of a reinforcement strip on the inside that made things very complicated - was in the way and needed to have large holes drilled through it to accomodate the bolt's heads - Kinda hard to explain you'd have to see the inside of the trunk to understand...

For now just trust that I HAD to drill from the inside. So, there. :D

That looks much better IMHO, nice and old timey looking.
Shame thats not the right plate. Excuse my ignorance but can you choose the design of your registration plate to a yellow background? i thought the stickers were the only thing you can change once you have the plate.

It's nice to be able to get into little places like that to work on your car. Now you want to try welding upside down from that position. That what i had to do when mounting the trunk lid hinges. I had to have confidence it would work or i'd be still trapped inside there!!:eek:

That "mystery blue stuff" looks like bondo to me. (which is the correct "blue stuff" to use, of course)

Mo better. The billet one was way out of place and time frame. I bought one of the "Hollywood" license lights like you have, and have it stored for my T. They are getting a little pricey due to demand.

You can buy one like in my photo ... off a MG or a AC Cobra. The AC Kit car folks have them ...
about $25 ... new

i think you are so cool . you made my top 3 list.1 you like old cars. 2 you work on your own car .3 you look good in goggles to . just having some fun but i think thats is neat . i wish there were more women like you .

Ron: The real "Hollywood" brand ones show up on Ebay once in a while, but as I mentioned, the price is starting to climb, especially one in good condition or NOS. I just kept watching and one turned up and I won it. Forget what I paid, but probably $ 30-$ 50.

things were everywhere, Pep Boys, Western Auto etc... and not expensive.

SoCal has a very good looking license light.

It's scaled down a touch, but very similar to what Deuce shows in the pic above.

I am definitely envious of how well you can get around within your roadster! I usually have to get one of my younger/skinnier kids to do those cramped quarter jobs for me .......... which usually turns into a fiasco :LOL: But good patience training for Dad **)

All 1932 california plates are yellow with black lettering. these are my plates, I just altered the numbers on the photo for internet safety obvious reasons LOL.

Trapped inside the trunk? the thaught crossed my mind:LOL: but then again, i did have a drill inside there with me and so i figured, if I get trapped I can always DRILL my way out :LOL: :LOL:
