I have the same 72 402 but 30 over and I am running the 268 and love it. I think the rpm range was something like 1500-somewhere around 5000 Its very streetable.

That's really good to hear, do you have a stall converter you're running with it? How does it run, take off good, decent idle, vacuum problems etc? Sorry for the twenty questions you're just the first person I've come across that has the same set up and I'm dying to have an idea how mine will do, Thank you!! oh yeah, silly question but what's your average mpg? Just curious, not really concerned.
